I know, it’s a little late.. but we’re busy, busy, busy at the moment.. Planning parties at Stripclubs and in Glasscherben-Viertels and bringing the Interieur-Do-Over on it’s way, besides finishing the Calendar-Flyers and so on..

However, last weekend was quite nice. Cool Start on Thursday with the Cocolores Guys, Tim Kessler & Mr – it’s always a Pleasure – Mirko Hecktor. Friday was supernice. BTYCL is growing every time and Edu K is hell of a good DJ. Very versatile, always progressive and he likes to play rough but without scaring the crowd off the Dancefloor. Tech House kommt an in München, Disco Sound erhält den längst verdienten Freiraum, unbeschwerte Lebensfreude findet Einzug in die späten Stunden. Mit Ping Pong startet eine wöchentliche Partyreihe, die dem Zeichen der Zeit folgt und dem international nicht mehr wegzudenkenden Tech House einen festen Platz in der Weltstadt mit Herz bietet. Das groovige Wechselspiel mit unverbrauchtem Disco Sound lässt eine Ping Pong Party erwarten, die nur Gewinner kennt.

Turning from bass player in noise punk bands to Disco DJ, Manuel Kim started working as label manager at Gomma Records in 2005 after returning from a sojourn in Japan. In a short time he became the most trusted and favorite DJ of the Gomma bosses, not only because he has one of the best selected club record collections in Germany, but also because he knows how to rock the crowd with his energetic sets.

Since a couple of years he is regular DJ Partner of Telonius on most of the GommaDanceTracks Partys and Resident DJ at Café King club Munich. His most recent and upcoming DJ destinations for 2010 include Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Lisbon, Porto and Paris.

Manuel Kim’s passion for music is evident in everything he does: next to his immense output of mixtapes, compilations, edits and other music stuff on his own blog Dansetudes.blogspot.com, he is currently also working on remixes and original productions.

“Seitdem funktioniert sein Name wie der einer Marke. “Mirko Hecktor” steht groß auf den Plakaten vor Clubs in Hamburg, Frankfurt und Berlin, in München ist er in drei Clubs Resident DJ und seit kurzem einer von drei Chefredakteuren der Szene-Zeitschrift Super Paper. Man kann sagen: Mirko Hecktor, 35, ist seit seinem Buch eine Art Sprecher für das hippe München.
„Stimmt“, sagt Hecktor und streift den Schal ab. Gerade hat er die Barfrau umarmt und sich auf die Eckbank gesetzt. „Obwohl ich dieses Label ja nie wollte.“Im Oktober packte das Stadtmagazin Prinz die „20 wichtigsten Münchner“ auf eine Seite – und setzte Hecktors Gesicht als größtes in die Mitte. Viermal so groß wie das von Franz Beckenbauer.”

Oh, Wow. Thursday was hell of a drinking party and the Cocolores-Guys blew me away with their Set. These Kids are cool! Come watch them on Thursday alongside Mirko “MKO” Hecktor & Tim “Is this the porn Area” Kessler. The next Day I had great fun with the Round Table Knights and they really seemed to enjoy our club and the two after-parties i took them to.. I’m really sorry, i missed to take any pictures, besides this one, which is in fact from the first after party. Right after i took the Picture, i dropped my phone on the floor just where i stood. Too bad and really amazing, that it still works!

Mit 125 Kontakten pro Minute wird ein Tischtennisball durchschnittlich über den Tisch gedroschen. Das ist genau die BPM-Frequenz, auf der sich Cocolores mit ihrem Neo-Disco-Sound und Tim Kessler mit seinem techhousigen Four-to-the-Floor-Stil treffen, wenn sie ab dem 10.Juni jeden Donnerstag gemeinsam am Crux-DJ-Pult zum Rundlauf antreten.

Grund genug, den Donnerstagabend „Ping Pong“ zu taufen und die angenehmen Assoziationen dieser Sportart gleich mit auf den Abend zu übertragen: Denn Ping Pong macht Spaß, ohne zu anstrengend zu sein, man trifft dabei seine Freunde, kann es bis zum Leistungssport-Niveau auf die Spitze treiben oder einfach mal zwischendurch machen. Außerdem können es Frauen und Männer gemeinsam spielen, es ist immer ähnlich aber nie das Gleiche und Emotionen lassen sich hierbei hervorragend kanalisieren.

In diese locker-heitere Atmosphäre passt sich das groovige Wechselspiel aus Disco und Techhouse hervorragend ein und wir freuen uns auf das Zusammenspiel der Ping Pong Residents. Das erste Match findet am Donnerstag, 10. Juni, ab 23 Uhr statt.

Zum Eröffnungs-Termin besuchen uns “SYSTEMFREI”, das ist das neue DJ- & Live-Projekt des Münchner DJ´s Petko und seinem tunesischen Kollegen “Hriga“. Hriga ist dort in allen grossen Clubs gern gesehener Gast wie z.b. im Calypso/Hammamet, Bora Bora/Sousse, Living/Sousse, Privilege/Sousse… und Begründer des sehr erfolgreichen “La Perla Underground Festival”. In den folgenden Wochen stehen Besuche von Mirko Hecktor, Manuel Kim und Mailivai Washington. From the Ping to The Pong. Peng!
